"The mission of the Holy Family Food Pantry is to welcome and assist all of our brothers and sisters in Lake County who are unable to meet their daily living needs of food, clothing and shelter, while focusing on programs to help each of them to become self-sufficient and to live in society with dignity, independence and pride as productive members of the community."
In addition to providing food assistance, we also offer several other programs including our adult B.I.K.E.S program (Becoming Independent Kreates Economic Stability), summer lunch and activity program for children, summer weekend backpack food program, community garden, MOMS group, clothing and small household boutique, holiday and meal and gift programs, and complete social service referrals.
The Holy Family Food Pantry is a program of
Community Social Services, the outreach agency of
Most Blessed Trinity Parish in Waukegan, IL.
Comunity Social Services also provides the following social support:
Soup Kitchen - Holy Family Soup Kitchen is a community outreach program that provides a nutritious dinner meal to an average of 165 families per night, four nights per week to those in need in the surrounding area.
Emergency Shelter - Community Social Services partners with PADS to provide shelter to 42 individuals each night, 365 days per year.
Father Gary Graf Center- The Immigrant Center serves the immigrant community of Lake County Illinois with citizenship, education and legal services.
